Lemon Bars Update!

Okay, looks like I'm gonna have to re-write that recipe soon!

We're having some family over for brunch on Saturday, and I've been asked to make more lemon bars! Yay!

That's all I wanted to say right now, just a tiny little update

Lemon Bars

The lemon bars... were not a complete failure...

They didn't end up looking real pretty, but the taste more than made up for it!

There was a little too much crust, a little too little filling and one of the batches didn't set quite right. But over all they were fun to make, and ended up tasting pretty damned good!

I think the recipe I used was part of the problem. The ingredients were fine and all, it was just poorly written. I found the directions a bit confusing and hard to follow. To be fair though, I probably should have read through the entire thing before starting. What I need, is a recipe that I can read while I making it. For example, something that might say:

1. Preheat oven

2. Get out pan and grease

3. Get 2 cups sugar

I have no use for a recipe that makes me crazy.

"Add two cups of sugar... Got it...oh shit! I was supposed to add that to the second mixture! (frantically scooping out sugar) And I needed to melt the butter first! Oops!"

Yeah, I'm not real organized...

Okay. There's been a real lack of Getting-Shit-Done around here. And I apologize for that.

See the thing is, when I get into something new ( a new book series, new movie, new band) I tend to get a little... obsessed.

A few weeks ago I discovered Watchmen. Where's it's been all my life, I don't know. But now it's here and it's here to stay. So that's what I've been obsessed with for the last several weeks, and I will eventually post about it.

Oh! I also have to post about seeing Iron Man 2, because holy-fishpaste it was awesome!

In the mean time, I've only gotten one thing on my list checked off. #9. Transfer my iTunes to my laptop. And I didn't so much as transfer it as get it working on the old desktop, but that's good enough for me.
